Our Mission
Our mission is to bring hope and support to those affected by cancer by raising awareness about risks, encouraging early detection, speaking up for better policies, and sharing resources on treatment and care. Every step toward education and support can make a difference in improving survival and quality of life for patients and families
Our Vision
To transform the fear of a cancer diagnosis into a journey of hope, by illuminating the path forward with clear, compassionate, and comprehensive information.
About us
Hi, I’m Ahil. I’m a high school student from Fremont, California, and I started MapCancerCare because I care deeply about helping people affected by cancer. This project comes from my heart. When I was younger, one of my close friends lost his mom to cancer at just 34 years old. I will never forget the sadness that loss brought to his family. It made me realize how important it is to learn, share, and support in any way we can.
I’m curious about many things—biology, cancer survivability, and even how AI/ML might help in the future—but what matters most to me is the human side. The courage of patients and the love of families inspire me to keep going.
MapCancerCare is my small step toward something bigger: creating awareness, encouraging early detection, and connecting people with resources that may bring hope and support. I may just be a student, but I believe even the smallest effort can touch lives in a meaningful way.
